I continue my own review of the Petit Palace Tres Cruces hotel, a 3-star budget accommodation in Madrid.
Outside as well as inside the hotel looked nice with fresh modern interior, it seemed to be relatively new. I didn’t have any troubles checking in, because I had made my hotel reservation in Madid well in advance. The lobby of the Petit Palace Tres Cruces hotel was very big, but it was nicely decorated (by the way, all public areas were OK, but not very spacious). The hotel offered rooms with twin or double beds, triple, quad and family rooms with exterior or interior views (on request).
My room was modern, clean and fresh, but it was slightly smaller than I had expected. Almost everything in the room was grey: grey walls, grey carpet, even the ceiling in the sleeping area was grey. That is what they call Euro-chic, I guess. Not really my favourite choice of decor – a little bit depressing for my taste. What was really great about the room is the latest electronic hydro-shower. That was really amazing! So much pleasure after a long day on foot discovering Madrid’s places of interest! Maybe, frosted glass walls of the bathroom could confuse the person taking a shower while other people were in the room, but I was alone, so that wasn’t a problem for me After spending the first night in my room I found out that the Madrid Petit Palace Hotel was very quiet, despite its central location, I got a good night’s sleep.
To be continued later on…
