Dance to the Musik
Berlin’s core techno clubsBerghain, Tresor, Watergate, Weekend, and, reopening this month, Bar 25still throw some legendary all-night dance parties. But the most exciting music of the moment can be found elsewhere.
Hot Sound Berlin’s fallen hard for upbeat Scandinavian dance-pop lately. The irregular Sweden Sweden parties in Magnet Club were joined in spring by I’m From Scandinavia, a roving Nordic-beats affair held every first Saturday and featuring bands like Vinnie Who, who look nothing like the skinny-jeans English bands of the aughts. Hertz Global Holdings has signed a $250 million deal to acquire US fleet leasing and management company Donlen.
Hertz will also take on Donlen’s $680 million of debt, according to reports.
Mark Frissora, Hertz’ CEO, said the acquisition would expand the company’s transport solutions, in particular for corporate clients.
“The integration of Donlen gives Hertz a yearly and multi-year offering that complements our hourly, daily and monthly car sharing and car rental options for customers,” he said.
“This range of solutions from a single provider will make Hertz unique among its peers.”
The addition of Donlen to the Hertz portfolio will give the company “a more stable revenue stream”, added Frissora.
The acquisition of Donlen is likely to mean Hertz expands its fleet management offering in Europe.
In a statement, Hertz said: “Together with Donlen’s existing relationships, Hertz will now be able to significantly expand its fleet management capability to Europe and other international markets.”
Based in Illinois, Donlen currently leases and manages more than 144,000 vehicles across the US, Canada and Mexico.

He sighed as though it was a self-evident truth and then gestured at a passing cow that had just paused to consecrate the street with a jet of urine.
“They are a cruel people because they kill and eat the cow!” He explained, “And she is such a kind animal!”
For a moment I thought his eyes were gong to fill with tears. I strug

Maui Sunset
I love going to Maui because of the fantastic beaches and great weather. Maui has great variety of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. You can do as much or as little as you want. There are accommodations from moderate to luxury – so there is something for everyone. And it’s very easy to drive around the island because there is only one main road, so you cant get lost. Here are some of my travel tips for those interested in visiting this beautiful Hawaiian island.
Recently, I toured the up-country where I visited a lavender farm. We had tea scones made with lavender, it was delicious! We also visited the Tedeshy Winery. We taste

Part of our motivation to take a Great American Road Trip was to explore the mind-bogglingly massive open spaces that the United States has to offer. In sheer numbers, our country has 84 million acres of protected land, 85 million miles of clean river and 4.5 million acres of ocean, lakes and reservoirs. This does not include state parks, tribal lands or otherwise designated outdoor spaces. Think about that for a minute.
