Hello!
My colleague has kindly described me a 3-star budget hotel in Frankfurt, Germany. He has stayed in Hotel Europa Frankfurt recently when he was on his business trip to Frankfurt/Main. The choice of this comparatively cheap Frankfurt hotel was mostly determined by its convenient location close to the airport and the city center, near the main train station and the highway.
Hotel Europa Frankfurt turned out to be a small Frankfurt hotel, really close to the railway station in comparison with other local hotels. You just needed 5 minutes to walk from the Frankfurt Hotel Europa to the main station.
My colleague’s twin room was on the 5th floor on the back of the hotel building. Thee lift was too little. Compared to the price the room was OK. Though not very spacious, his room was very clean with the following room facilities available: shower, minibar, hair dryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, heating, direct dial telephone and free Wi-Fi access. The bathroom was very small, but there was good water pressure. There were some problems with the heating, but it got solved after we called down to the reception. Staff were quick to respond to our request and very friendly. By the way, there were no language problems – the hotel team spoke perfect English.
Breakfast provided by the Hotel Europa Frankfurt basic - standard European variety of bread, fruit, cereals and toasts. Nothing special, but delicious.
My colleague considers Hotel Europa Frankfurt a good cheap Frankfurt hotel for a business stopover.
Many thanks to the colleague for sharing hotel information with us. Bye!

Hello, everybody!
Today I am going to share my experience of staying in 3-star Golden Arches Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. That was one of those rare occasions when I traveled not on business but for pleasure. I stayed in Golden Arches Hotel Limassol for a short break (4 nights only) with my brother at the end of August 2007. We booked this particular Limassol hotel after comparing local cheap Limassol hotels of the same range because it looked good value for money.
Golden Arches Hotel Limassol is located at the beautiful area of Amathus, conveniently close to the centre of Limassol with shops, night clubs, pubs and restaurants - everything to have fun and relax. The sea is almost at the hotel’s doorstep (about 100-200 meters away from the hotel).
We had a room on the 5th floor (elevator was available) with central heating, air-conditioning (it worked perfectly), telephone, mini-bar, hair dryer, satellite TV, and radio. Our room was clean and we had a balcony overlooking the pool (by the way, the swimming pool was nice, big with crystal clear water and more than enough sun beds). The beds were OK, but the shower could have been a little more powerful.
The food was basic, nothing special, but with so many restaurants, bars and cafes on the doorstep offering superb value for money meals that wasn’t a big problem for us.
The reception staff were helpful and attentive, the housekeepers were very good as well. Entertainment at the Golden Arches Hotel Limassol was limited in comparison to other local hotels. That is important in case you travel with children, but adults will definitely find what to do.
We had a nice holiday in Golden Arches Hotel Limassol, we will book this comparatively cheap Limassol hotel again if we turn out to be there again some day.

Hello!
Residencial Mar dos Acores Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal, is the hotel, which I have discussed with a couple of my workmates, who just came back from Lisbon and stayed in this cheap Lisbon hotel for 3 nights.
Though Residencial Mar dos Acores Hotel is in the very heart of Lisbon, it is located relatively close to the airport (approximately 5 kilometers ) in comparison to other Lisbon hotels of the same range. Moreover, bus stop is nearby the hotel, and, if you don’t mind a 3-minute walk along the street, subway is at your disposal. So, public transport is right here to save your money. In case you are on wheels, parking lot is available close to the hotel. In spite of the closeness of public transport the neighbourhood is quiet and nice.
Guests can choose from single, double and triple rooms offered by the hotel. My colleagues had a double room (breakfast was included) on the second floor, they emphasized the fact that the hotel lacked the lift – young people might not notice the fact while the elderly could feel quite uncomfortable.
There was nothing special about the room they got – it was just a standard double room, but clean and neat; air-conditioning and cable TV worked properly. The outside noise didn’t reach the room, but a strange sound somewhere from the pipes disturbed my workmates the first night in the hotel. The hotel staff turned out to be very attentive to their complaint, so the rest two nights were peaceful.
The workmates enjoyed their stay and consider Residencial Mar dos Acores hotel a good, clean, budget priced accommodation in Lisbon.
Bye!
Crystal Plaza Hotel - Cheap Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden

Hello!
All in all I would definitely recommend the Petit Palace Tres Cruces hotel in Madrid. Highly professional staff will allow you to get the most out of your visit to Madrid.
Now, let me follow with another hotel where I have recently stayed. This is Crystal Plaza Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. We (3 of my colleagues and me) had a conference there in Finlandshuset Conference. The Crystal Plaza Hotel Stockholm cooperates with this conference center, so we got a favourable rate at our hotel in connection with the conference. The hotel enjoys the best location in the center of Stockholm, close to the shopping, entertainment and business areas of the city.
This mid-range hotel in Stockholm is housed in the historical building and has retained its original character on the outside, but it is very modern inside and is full of conveniences. Hotel facilities included cocktail bar, fax, free Internet access (that was really helpful, I was able to check email whenever I wanted), laundry, cosy lobby , safe deposit box, and a restaurant. Moreover, guests could relax in the sauna or in the gym at no additional charge.
We had two standard double rooms with TV, telephone, toilet, bath (very-very small), trouser press, minibar and hairdryer. All was basic, nothing special, but everything was clean and worked properly.
The service was very friendly (even when we checked in at about midnight). The reception staff were totally cool and helpful for directions and sightseeing, when we had some free time to explore the sights. They really made our stay in the Crystal Plaza Hotel in Stockholm enjoyable.
Petit Palace Tres Cruces - Cheap Hotel in Madrid (part 3)

I continue my own review of the Petit Palace Tres Cruces hotel, a 3-star budget accommodation in Madrid.
Outside as well as inside the hotel looked nice with fresh modern interior, it seemed to be relatively new. I didn’t have any troubles checking in, because I had made my hotel reservation in Madid well in advance. The lobby of the Petit Palace Tres Cruces hotel was very big, but it was nicely decorated (by the way, all public areas were OK, but not very spacious). The hotel offered rooms with twin or double beds, triple, quad and family rooms with exterior or interior views (on request).
My room was modern, clean and fresh, but it was slightly smaller than I had expected. Almost everything in the room was grey: grey walls, grey carpet, even the ceiling in the sleeping area was grey. That is what they call Euro-chic, I guess. Not really my favourite choice of decor – a little bit depressing for my taste. What was really great about the room is the latest electronic hydro-shower. That was really amazing! So much pleasure after a long day on foot discovering Madrid’s places of interest! Maybe, frosted glass walls of the bathroom could confuse the person taking a shower while other people were in the room, but I was alone, so that wasn’t a problem for me After spending the first night in my room I found out that the Madrid Petit Palace Hotel was very quiet, despite its central location, I got a good night’s sleep.
To be continued later on…
